Bella's First Piano Recital

 Bella has been taking piano lessons for about 3 months and is loving it.  Now, when she wakes up before everyone else in the morning, instead of begging to watch cartoons, I find her playing the piano.  I'm so glad Marshall convinced me to buy a digital piano instead of a real one.  She can turn the volume down or where head phones, so it doesn't matter if anyone is sleeping when she plays.

I took piano for years when I was little and always struggled with it.  I hated to practice and dreaded going to my lessons, so it has been so much fun to watch her love it so much.  I'm grateful I married a musical husband who was able to pass this gift on to her.  

Click play above to watch a movie of her playing before and at the recital.  She got a little nervous and messed up at the recital, then when she sat down, she buried her head in my arm and said, "I messed up."  Afterwards I asked her how she felt and she said, "I was shy."  She's such a sweetie.  They have a recital every 6 months, so hopefully she'll get used to performing, so she's not so nervous in the future.
